Eddy Abou Karam scored another podium finish in the Lebanese Rally Championship. He finished third overall at the 7th Jezzine rally after 10 grueling stages.
The second round was held on 313 km of tarmac roads within the Jezzine and Saida area. It was a two-day competition as a Silver Star Super Special Stage was held on the eve of the main event. He finished second fastest in that stage. The action resumed on Sunday morning with the first stage of the loop, Barti. It was a strong start as he ended the stage with the third fastest time. SS3 and SS4, Bqosta and Azour, followed and by the first service of the day, Eddy had consolidated a fine third place overall. He then managed to squeeze an additional 10 seconds in Barti during the second loop and came so close to P2 overall, right up to SS6 Bqosta when a spin lead to Eddy dropping to fourth overall. Abou Karam gave it his all in the third and final loop. He wrestled his way to the podium and ended third; a fine and deserved result after a thrilling battle.
